The TTIP is a bridge too far for Europe

For many of us, free trade is right up there with motherhood and apple pie; the freer, the better. We Europeans should therefore welcome the world’s biggest-ever free-trade agreement, known as the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP), being negotiated between Brussels and Washington. Or should we?  If and when concluded, this partnership risks being a very unequal one.

European Research Associates is an independent consultancy providing strategic advice and analysis on issues of European public policy to business and governments.

Welcome to ERA's web site. Visitors will find a presentation of the company, as well as some examples of our activities and recent projects. The aim of this site is to provide an idea of the expertise and competence we can offer in our sectors of activity, which focus on the processes of EU policymaking and the impact of policy decisions on business and government.

For over 30 years, ERA has been contracted to support EU policymakers in key sectors. Its experts have acted as advisers to businesses and governments as they assess the impact of Brussels legislation on their own corporate or national strategies and interests.

At a time of economic and monetary crisis, we find that our clients more than ever find it crucial to seek guidance through the EU policy maze, and place great value in ERA's work of analysis and advice.
